George Maurides practices primarily in the areas of real estate development, business transactions, estate planning, and general construction law. George has counseled a variety of clients, from private individuals to large publically held companies, on numerous complex transactions involving rezoning and annexation of real property, and sophisticated financing structures including Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Districts, Special Service Areas (SSA), sales tax rebates, bonds and other forms of public and private financing and incentives. He is active with the Illinois State Bar Association Real Estate Section Council where he is part of a team of attorneys who review and critique pending legislation. He particularly enjoys conducting zoning hearings in Chicago and the surrounding suburban communities.
Jack Foley is a trial and appellate lawyer concentrating in real estate, construction, insurance, employment and commercial litigation. In his over forty years of practice, he has been involved in a wide variety of cases and has tried dozens of jury trials and hundreds of bench trials, winning over 90% of his cases. Jack has also been very active in the area of alternative dispute resolution including arbitrations and mediations and has served as an arbitrator on many occasions. Despite the wealth of his litigation experience, Jack is committed to achieving solutions on behalf of clients in order to avoid time consuming and expensive litigation.
Adrian Tabangay focuses his practice in real estate, corporate (business entity) and contract law. He has substantial experience structuring, negotiating, documenting and concluding real estate, financing and general business transactions. Adrian enjoys counseling both institutional and entrepreneurial clients with respect to their businesses and transactions and otherwise assisting in accomplishing his clients’ objectives.
Patrick C. Turner concentrates his practice in real estate law (including commercial, industrial and residential transactions; zoning and land use; eminent domain; and real estate litigation), corporate and business transactions, and commercial litigation. He was appointed a Special Assistant Attorney General representing the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority in eminent domain matters from 1997 to 2006. He was on the board of directors of the Chicago Association of Realtors and was the Chairman of their Commercial Forum Committee. Mr. Turner has served as the Co-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Commercial Finance & Transactions Committee since 2009 and is a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for Western Springs, Illinois.
Fred E. Agustin focuses his practice on real estate tax appeals, and zoning and land use. Prior to joining Maurides Foley Tabangay Turner LLC, Fred was a hearing officer for the Cook County Board of Review where he reviewed and decided on numerous real estate tax appeals ranging from residential, condominiums, commercial, retail, office and industrial properties all over Cook County. As a zoning and land use attorney, he has obtained approvals in almost every ward within the City of Chicago, as well as numerous suburban municipalities. Fred counsels a diverse clientele of developers, middle-market businesses, retail drugstores, employment agencies, recycling facilities, food manufacturers, schools, churches and financial institutions.
